Groups
Vans and minibuses with a driver for groups
The number of seats in a brochure and the number of people who actually fit with their suitcases are two different things. This page exists to make them match before departure, not in front of the boot.
The vehicles, and their real capacity
The fleet is entirely Mercedes, on three levels:
- Sedan — up to 3 passengers. E-Class or equivalent. The business-transfer and couples car: boot space for two large cases plus hand luggage.
- Van — up to 7 passengers. V-Class. The most requested vehicle for families, small groups and airport transfers.
- Minibus — up to 20 passengers. For delegations, parties and group transfers. It is the one vehicle that is not on the price list: it is arranged on request and quoted per route.
We say so openly because it is the point others are vague about: the minibus does not sit in a garage waiting for you. It has to be arranged, and arranging it takes some notice. If your date is close, ask anyway — it often works out — but we answer with a yes or a no, never with a maybe.
Seats and luggage are two different sums
This is the most common mistake, and it costs dearly on the day: someone books a van because «there are seven of us», and seven people with seven large cases do not fit. No seven-seat vehicle has a boot for seven large cases: if every seat is occupied, the luggage space is what is left.
So when you book we ask for two numbers, not one: how many people and how many large bags. With those we can tell you precisely whether you need the van, the minibus or two vehicles. Often two vehicles cost less than people expect, and in any case less than a journey with suitcases on your knees.
Pushchairs, folding wheelchairs, golf bags, sample cases, musical instruments: all of these need to be mentioned in advance. Not to create difficulties, but because the vehicle is chosen on them.
What people call us for
Trade fairs and conferences. A repeated hotel-to-venue shuttle for a delegation, with several vehicles in parallel when the numbers require it. Details on the Bologna trade fairs page.
Weddings. Guests from the airport, and above all the move from the ceremony to the reception, which is when thirty people have to travel within the same half hour. See the weddings page.
Groups arriving at Marconi. Different flights, different times, one point of contact on the ground: we collect the arrivals and take everyone to the same address. See airport transfers.
Corporate trips and teams. A group moving together for several days, with shifting timings: handled with the car at your disposal and a single invoice. See business travel.
What it costs
Van fares are on the price list, like the sedan ones, and apply to the vehicle rather than per person:
| Route | Sedan | Van |
|---|---|---|
| Bologna Airport (BLQ) → Bologna city | 55–65 € | 70–85 € |
| Bologna city → Bologna Airport (BLQ) | 50–60 € | 60–70 € |
| Bologna Central Station → Bologna city | 40–50 € | 45–55 € |
| Bologna Central Station → Bologna Airport (BLQ) | 50–60 € | 60–70 € |
| Bologna Airport (BLQ) → Bologna Central Station | 55–65 € | 70–85 € |
Indicative estimates per vehicle, not per person. Fuel, tolls, parking and VAT are included. The final figure is confirmed in writing before departure.
The full list of routes shows the van column for every destination. The minibus is not on the price list: send us the route, date, number of people and number of bags, and we will send a written quote with the final figure.
Questions
About groups and minibuses
How many people really fit in a van?
Up to seven, but with moderate luggage. If there are seven of you with seven large cases you need a bigger vehicle or a second one: tell us and we will say so before confirming.
Is the minibus always available?
No, and it is right to say so: it is not on the price list and has to be arranged on request. With a few days’ notice it almost always works. We answer with a yes or a no, never with a maybe.
How much is the minibus?
It is quoted per route: send us the itinerary, date, number of people and number of bags. The quote comes in writing with the final figure.
Can you run two vehicles in parallel?
Yes, and for groups it is often the better answer: they leave together, arrive together, and the luggage has its own space.
Are child seats available?
Yes, type-approved and at no extra charge, in every vehicle. Tell us how many and for what ages when you book.
Tell us how many people and how many bags.
With those two numbers we name the right vehicle and the price, before confirming.
